Braid to Build™ is a structured salon training and mentorship pipeline developed by Strong Enough Achiever Foundation.

 

This program is designed for aspiring braiders who are serious about mastering their craft and transitioning into professional salon environments.

 

Whether you are a beginner with no experience or a braider needing structure and refinement, this program builds real skill — not just theory.

 

Participants receive:

 

• Mannequin-based foundation training

• Parting precision & tension control development

• Sanitation and professional standards training

• Speed and technique refinement

• Structured workbook curriculum

• Skill evaluation and certification

 

This is not just a class.

This is a pathway.

 

After successful completion of the foundation phase, qualified participants may transition into supervised salon mentorship at Adja Queen Professional Hair Braiding in the Bronx.

 

Participants are placed based on skill level and readiness.

 

Program Levels:

 

Tier 1 – Beginner (Foundation Training Only)

Tier 2 – Supervised Salon Placement (Commission-Based)

Tier 3 – Advanced (Booth Rental Eligible)

  • Salon Mentorship Placement Evaluation

    This evaluation is for braiders seeking placement into the Braid to Build™ Salon Mentorship phase. During this session, participants will: • Complete a live skill assessment • Demonstrate parting precision and tension control • Be evaluated on cleanliness and technique • Receive professional feedback • Be categorized into Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 placement This evaluation determines readiness for supervised salon placement at Adja Queen Professional Hair Braiding. Completion of this assessment does not guarantee salon placement. Placement is based on skill level, professionalism, and readiness.

  • Sponsor a Trainee

    Support a teen or adult participant by sponsoring one full Foundation Training seat. Your sponsorship covers: • 4-week mannequin-based training • Workbook materials • Mentorship instruction • Certificate of completion Once purchased, our team will match your sponsorship with an approved applicant in need. Sponsors may request: • Anonymous sponsorship • Name acknowledgment • Confirmation of placement After checkout, please note “SPONSOR” in booking notes.
